Bar Refeali X Rampage

Off the popularity of her Sports Illustrated cover with her strategically placed triangle bikini top, Bar Refeali is the spokesmodel for Rampage Spring 2010 Campaign. The Spring 2010 campaign is Refeali's second season with Rampage.

Of the contemporary brand, Refeali comments, "Rampage’s spring collection is amazing. The flirty dresses, fabulous swimwear and great shorts are perfect for warm weather, parties and weekends. I can’t wait to wear all of the new styles!”

Why a second time as a spokesmodel? Dari Marder, the Chief Marketing Officer of Rampage, says, “Bar is the ideal Rampage woman; she is warm, sexy, fun and free spirited. We are thrilled to have her in the campaign for a second season.” Beside from the fact that she is hot to men and women alike.

The campaign launches in March and can be seen in national fashion magazines including Marie Claire, Glamour and Lucky.

Burberry Prorsum: Fall 2010 RTW

The Burberry Prorsum Fall '10 ready-to-wear collection is an amalgam of amazing outerwear and the perfect use of fresh fall colors. The jackets in the collection are all to die for- shearling with oversized collars, military trenches, classic fitted wool, parkas, and every hybrid thereof- Burberry has every occasion (and temperature) covered.

I particularly enjoy the over-the-knee and thigh-high snakeskin boots accompanying many of the looks: the perfect mix of edge and sex appeal. The height of these boots are perfect when mixed with cute wool shorts and lacy feminine dresses, which are prominent in the collection.

After the show, Christopher Bailey gave his thoughts on the collection's origins "I was thinking of uniforms and cadet girls—but it all started when I looked at an aviator jacket in the archive. Then, as I started designing into it, I realized it could be as versatile as the trench—strong and sexy, masculine and feminine...And I really enjoyed it!"

It shows!

Its All About the Lips...

Attention to detail is one trait everyone should develop over the course of his/her adult life and attention to makeup is no exception. Every season, just like designers expose the new silhouette or body part on display, makeup artists also put focus on a certain category of makeup. This season, the lips took center stage as makeup artists used bold, bright colors to make an impactful statement. Whether black lips at Proenza Schouler, red lips at Donna Karan or glitterati lips at Doo Ri there is a shade for everyone. Choose your poison this fall and be careful your looks do not kill (in a good way of course). One of my faves? MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger. Don't forget to line with a lip pencil. Try Mac Lip Liner in Burgundy or Redd as a base so your look will last longer.

Grunge for the Modern Girl at Proenza Schouler

Last night Lazaro Hernandez and Jack Mc Coullough of Proenza Schouler presented their Fall 2010 collection.

After a wowed Spring 2010 presentation with influences from the deep blue sea and scuba gear, Lazaro and Jack offered a smart and sexy collection for the New York It Girls.

With Selma Blair, Mary-Kate Olsen and other darlings in the front row, what came down the runway were sexy flannel dresses with strategically placed cut-outs, skirts with mesh insets paired with thigh-high tights and towering wooden platforms.

The Fall 2010 collection definitely had hints of sexy school girl with a grunge attitude, from the messy hair, dark-hued lips and paint-splattered high-waist jeans to a blazer with fur trimmings and plaid mini-skirts.

This collection was definitely one of my favorites. Kudos!

Successful Debut collection for LaQuan Smith

21 year old LaQuan Smith had a great turn out at the presentation of his debut collection this past Monday. An indication that this designer has a very promising future.

With exaggerated shoulders, pleats, feminine detail in jewel tone colors, the Fall 2010 collection was very promising.

The collection also had an aquatic undertone, as shown in the blue pleated, structured jacket with exaggerated shoulders.

A self-taught designer from Queens, New York, LaQuan has been designing for 8 years. I'd say a successful debut for the young designer.

L.A.M.B. 2010 comes to fashion week

Gwen Stefani brought her clothing line L.A.M.B. to fashion week yesterday.

L.A.M.B. which stands for Love Angel Music Baby was started in 2003. The line is based on a lot of things Gwen herself would wear. Edgy, stylish and sexy.

The 2010 fall collection included garters, leopord print and leather. There were lots of skinny jeans as well as fitted shirts and ankle high booties.

These fashionable pieces don't need a special occasion they can be worn anytime for anything.

Not only were her models looking great in L.A.M.B. but they had Gwens style with the thick bangs, smokey eyes and bright lipstick.

You can see and buy L.A.M.B. clothing at www.gwenclothing.com

R.I.P. Alexander McQueen

British Designer Alexander McQueen (born Lee McQueen) was found dead in his London home.

With London Fashion week just days away and also a month away from McQueen revieling his new collection at Paris Fashion Week, this is no doubt a tragic loss.

McQueen's body was discovered Thursday morning at 10am. It is being reported that McQueen has commited suicide.

Isabella Blow, fashion icon and close friend to McQueen committed suicide 3 years ago. Blow was the person who helped McQueen launch his career.

A spokes person for McQueen has released this statement; "We're devastated and I hope you understand that out of respect to his family and his colleagues we're not going to be making any further statement."

McQueen was born in 1969 and left school at the age of 16 when he was offered an apprenticeship at Saville Row tailors Anderson and Sheppard. In less then 10 years McQueen had became one of the most respected fashion designers in the world. Something people only dream of doing.

McQueen leaves us with many of his accomplishments. He is a four time winner of the British Designer of the Year Award as well as the International Designer of the Year Award from the council of Fashion Designers of America, McQueen was awarded CBE in 2003.

Rest in Peace Alexander McQueen, who leaves the world today but his fashion is never to be forgotten.

Balenciaga Paris

For the first time in twelve years, Balenciaga has released a fragrance: Balenciaga Paris.

It is a light and spring-like with a powdery, peppery tone- perfect for those who don't like strong, flowery perfumes. The shape of the fragrance bottle is inspired by the classic Balenciaga silhouette, which Nicholas Ghesquière pictures a woman setting amongst her things to create an 'Irving Penn-like still life'.

Actress/songstress Charlotte Gainsbourg is the face of the campaign, which was shot by Steven Meisel. Ghesquière chose Gainsbourg for her "oddity...and bizarre beauty"...it works.

Although you cannot yet get the fragrance, you can watch the designer talk about his process on the fragrance's website.

The Balenciaga Paris campaign will not be in full force until the spring, but the scent will be launched on the 15th at Bergdorf Goodman.

The collection's sneakers and rain boots are printed with some of the painter's most popular work, with sizes available for men, women, and children. Some styles include Wellington boots covered in the Dancing Man, and tennis shoes with the Barking Dog.

If you are not a Paris native and a fan of Haring's work, fear not: the collection has a broader release scheduled for this fall.

Gaga on tops fashion Buzzwords

The minute Lady Gaga stepped on the music scene, she was not afraid to play with fashion. From her hats to lack of pants, she is not afraid to wear anything.

According to Global Language Monitor, Lady Gaga is the top buzzword when looking into fashion. This list is made up from fashion experts around the world when they were asked their top buzz phrase of the moment.

Gaga beat out leggings, no pants, camos and many more.

With critiques always watching Gaga and what she will wear or not wear, it is no suprise that she has topped the buzzword list as well as many other lists.

This makes me wonder... with her music and her fashion being on top right now.. will Lady Gaga come out with her own fashion line in the future? No doubt the styles and trends would be eye catching. Guess we'll wait and see what 2010 will bring.

Lovely Lindsey Wixson

At the barely ripe age of 15, Model Lindsey Wixson has a new after school activity to add to her resume: the face of Miu Miu.

The Wichita native began modeling at the age of 12 by attending as many castings as possible, and had her break when she was personally selected by Steven Meisel for an Italian Vogue shoot. This comes as no surprise when you see the willowy blonde's full, heart-shaped pout.

Wixson has landed exclusives walking for Miu Miu and Prada for the Spring 2010 shows. Quite an accomplishment when you consider what you were doing at 15!

Gaultier: Spring '10 Couture

The Spring/Summer 2010 couture shows have concluded in Paris, and another collection that stole my heart was that of John Paul Gaultier. His Mexican-inspired haute couture collection features elaborate and feminine sombreros, shawls, hand-tooled leather, gauchos, and conquistador armor. The show even played 'mariachi' music (!!).

The models wore clothing that was heavily fringed, embroidered, studded, and feathered. The collection contains many interesting pieces, such as gowns that are basket woven in shadow-dyed ribbons and suede.

One of my favorite pieces is the show closing gown worn by Karlie Kloss (pictured here)- a feathered skirt with a crisp, white corseted top and an elaborate headdress.

The show ended on a high note, with a performance by French-American Arielle Dombasle. The singer wore a bright red, beaded corset and crinoline.

Gorgeous!
